We've reached double-digit days in the new NHL season, with three games to play tonight. First up...
The Buffalo Sabres host the Florida Panthers. Sergei Bobrovsky and Linus Ullmark are in goal. Buffalo dented the scoreboard in the second period with a Johan Larsson goal, via Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons. The Sabres added on in the third period with a Marco Scandella goal, passed from Okposo and Girgensons. Florida got on the board with an Evgenii Dadonov goal, his second of the season, assisted by Jonathan Huberdeau and Denis Malgin. The Panthers tied it on a Mike Hoffman goal, his fifth of the year, coming off of Dadonov and Vincent Trocheck. The tie went to a shootout, where Jack Eichel and Casey Mittelstadt produced the tallies for the Sabres to secure a 3-2 win. The three stars were Okposo, Girgensons, and Dadonov.
