The Canadiens took the lead on a Joel Armia goal in the second period, his seventh of the season, guided in by Ben Chiarot and Jeff Petry. The Blue Jackets tied it on a Pierre-Luc Dubois goal, his eighth of the year, helped along by Emil Bemstrom. Columbus gained the lead with a Bemstrom goal, his third of the season, passed from Sonny Milano and Pierre-Luc Dubois. The Blue Jackets added on with a Boone Jenner power play goal, his fifth of the year, powered by Oliver Bjorkstrand. Columbus extended the lead as Dubois scored his second of the game and ninth of the season, thanks to Gustav Nyquist and Bjorkstrand. Florida added on in the second period with an Aleksander Barkov goal, his seventh of the year, passed from Evgenii Dadonov and Josh Brown. The Panthers extended the lead as Jonathan Huberdeau scored his tenth of the season, thanks to Barkov and Dadonov. Brian Elliott replaced Hart in goal. The Penguins added on with a Brandon Tanev goal, his fourth of the year, via John Marino and Jared McCann. New York got on the board in the second period with an Anthony Beauvillier goal, his seventh of the season, courtesy of Nick Leddy and Brock Nelson. The Islanders tied it with a Nelson goal, his fifth of the year, helped along by Leddy and Derick Brassard. Pittsburgh retook the lead on another Tanev goal, his second of the game and fifth of the season, assisted by Marcus Pettersson and Dominik Kahun. The Penguins extended the lead in the third period as Guentzel scored on the power play, his tenth of the year coming with the help of Alex Galchenyuk and Malkin. Over in New Jersey, the Devils host the Boston Bruins. Tuukka Rask faces a lesser foe in MacKenzie Blackwood in goal. Boston opened in the first period with a Matt Grzelcyk goal, via Brad Marchand and David Krejci. The Bruins added on with a David Pastrnak goal, his eighteenth of the season, made possible by Marchand and Krejci. New Jersey got on the board with a Blake Coleman goal, his fifth of the year, coming off of Nikita Gusev and Will Butcher in the second period. Boston replied in the third period with another Pastrnak power play goal, his second of the game and nineteenth of the season, powered by Marchand and Charlie Coyle. The Bruins extended the lead as Grzelcyk scored his second of the game, thanks to Charlie McAvoy. Boston padded the lead with an unassisted Connor Clifton goal, his second of the year. The Red Wings took the lead on a Filppula shorthanded goal, his third of the season, set up by Darren Helm. The Senators retied it with another Duclair goal in the second period, his second of the game and ninth of the year, made possible by Logan Brown. Ottawa pulled ahead on a Jean-Gabriel Pageau goal, his twelfth of the season, going in unassisted. The Senators added on with a Brady Tkachuk goal, his seventh of the year, with a lone assist by Duclair. Detroit got one back on an Anthony Mantha goal, his twelfth of the season, guided in by Hronek and Andreas Athanasiou. This only made it 4-3, the final, with the three stars awarded to Duclair, Filppula, and Hronek.
South to Nashville, as the Predators host the Winnipeg Jets. Connor Hellebuyck and Juuse Saros draw the starts in goal. Winnipeg drew first blood in the first period with a Patrik Laine goal, his fifth of the season, made possible by Kyle Connor. The Jets added on in the second period with a Nikolaj Ehlers goal, his tenth of the year, courtesy of Jack Roslovic and Mark Scheifele. Nashville got on the board with a Nick Bonino goal, his ninth of the season, via Rocco Grimaldi and Dan Hamhuis. This only made it 2-1, the eventual final, with the three stars handed to Hellebuyck (38 for 39 in saves), Ehlers, and Laine.
Along to St. Louis, where the Blues welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning. Andrei Vasilevskiy and Jordan Binnington tend the twines. Tampa Bay was first to score in the first period with an Anthony Cirelli goal, his third of the season, powered by Alex Killorn and Victor Hedman. St. Louis tied it in the second period with a David Perron goal, his ninth of the year, coming off of Colton Parayko and Ryan O'Reilly. The Blues took the lead in the third period with an Oskar Sundqvist goal, his fourth of the season, assisted by Robert Thomas. St. Louis iced it at 3-1 with a Jaden Schwartz empty net goal, his fifth of the year, set up by Brayden Schenn. The three stars went to Binnington (17 for 18 in saves), Sundqvist and Perron.
Down in Dallas, the Stars bring in the Vancouver Canucks. Jacob Markstrom and Ben Bishop protect the nets. Dallas cracked the scoresheet in the first period with a Jamie Benn goal, his third of the season, via Radek Faksa and Blake Comeau. The Stars added on with another Benn power play goal in the second period, his second of the game and fourth of the year, powered by Corey Perry and Miro Heiskanen. Vancouver got on the board with a Bo Horvat goal, his seventh of the season, with a lone helper by Brock Boeser. Dallas replied with a Taylor Fedun goal, coming off of Jason Dickinson and Nick Caamano. The Stars extended the lead in the third period as Heiskanen scored his sixth of the year, thanks to Justin Dowling and Tyler Seguin. Dallas padded the lead on a Dowling goal, his third of the season, courtesy of Seguin and Benn. The Stars kept going with a Perry goal, his third of the year, with a lone assist from Esa Lindell. Back north, the Chicago Blackhawks host the Carolina Hurricanes. Petr Mrazek and Robin Lehner are the reliable goalies. Chicago got on the board with an Erik Gustafsson goal in the third period, his third of the year, guided in by Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat. The Blackhawks got closer with a Connor Murphy goal, via Kane and Kirby Dach. The Hurricanes iced it at 4-2 with a Sebastian Aho empty net goal, his tenth of the campaign, going in unassisted. Northwest to Calgary, as the Flames welcome the Colorado Avalanche. Philipp Grubauer and David Rittich guard the cages. The Avalanche added on with another Burakovsky goal, his second of the game and tenth of the year, via Joonas Donskoi and MacKinnon. Calgary got on the board with a Derek Ryan goal, his fourth of the season, made possible by Milan Lucic. Toronto tied it in the third period on a Jason Spezza goal, his third of the year, via Ilya Mikheyev. The Golden Knights retook the lead with an unassisted Tomas Nosek goal, his fourth of the season. Vegas added on with a Mark Stone power play goal, his tenth of the year, with assists provided by Glass and Shea Theodore. The Maple Leafs got one back with a Zach Hyman power play goal, fueled by Spezza and Tyson Barrie. The Golden Knights iced it at 4-2 with a Cody Eakin empty net goal, his second of the campaign, set up by Pacioretty and Jonathan Marchessault. The three stars were Glass, Pacioretty, and Spezza.
Finally, the San Jose Sharks host the Edmonton Oilers. Mikko Koskinen and Martin Jones receive the starting nods in goal. The Oilers added on with a Zack Kassian goal, his eighth of the season, passed from Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse. San Jose got on the board with a Kevin Labanc goal, his seventh of the year, coming off of Logan Couture and Evander Kane. Edmonton replied with a Jujhar Khaira goal, his fourth of the season, fueled by Kris Russell and Riley Sheahan. The Oilers extended the lead as James Neal scored his thirteenth of the year on the power play, powered by McDavid and Klefbom. Edmonton padded the lead in the third period with a McDavid goal, his fifteenth of the season, assisted by Nurse and Leon Draisaitl. The Sharks got one back with a Barclay Goodrow goal, his sixth of the year, with helpers by Radim Simek and Brent Burns. The final remained at 5-2, with the three stars being McDavid, Klefbom, and Nurse.
