NHL 2021-22 - Day 142

There's just a single game on tonight, as the Ottawa Senators host the Arizona Coyotes. Scott Wedgewood and Filip Gustavsson are the goalies. Ottawa struck first in the first period with a Josh Norris goal, his twenty-third of the season, coming off of Brady Tkachuk. Arizona tied it with a Lawson Crouse goal, his sixteenth of the year, via Phil Kessel and Alex Galchenyuk. The Coyotes took the lead with a Crouse power play goal, his second of the game and seventeenth of the season, powered by Shayne Gostisbehere and Clayton Keller. The Senators tied it on a Norris power play goal, his second of the game and twenty-fourth of the year, with a lone helper by Tim Stutzle. Arizona regained the lead in the second period on a Lawson Crouse shorthanded goal, completing his hat trick on his eighteenth of the season. Ottawa tied it again in the third period with a Connor Brown goal, his ninth of the year, helped along by Tkachuk and Artem Zub. The Coyotes pulled ahead with a Nick Schmaltz goal, his seventeenth of the season, coming off of Keller. Arizona iced it at 5-3 with a Barrett Hayton empty net goal, his fifth of the year, set up by Janis Moser and Schmaltz. The three stars belonged to Crouse, Schmaltz, and Norris, while Keller and Tkachuk get the honorable mentions.
