Ten games for a busy day today, beginning in...
Khabarovsk, as Amur hosts Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Alexei Murygin and Juha Metsola are in goal. Yaroslavl dented the scoreboard in the third period on a Daniil Apalkov goal, assisted by Petri Kontiola. This stood for a 1-0 win. The three stars went to Murygin (21 save shutout), Apalkov, and Metsola (25 for 26 in saves).
Down in Vladivostok, Admiral welcomes the Sochi Leopards. Konstantin Barulin and Ivan Nalimov draw the starts in goal. The Leopards added on with another Ignatushkin goal, with a lone assist by Ilya Krikunov. The Impact received a yellow card for a fifty-eighth minute foul by Laurent Ciman. Montreal retook the lead on an Andres Romero goal in the seventy-sixth minute, assisted by Patrice Bernier, but Romero also got booked on a yellow card for excessive celebration. In the eightieth minute, the Fire had a yellow card given to Patrick Doody for his foul. The Impact's Victor Cabrera took a yellow card for his eighty-sixth minute foul. In the eighty-ninth minute, Chicago's Ty Harden had a yellow card for a foul. Montreal went down to ten men in stoppage time when Ciman received a second yellow card for a foul. Dynamo tied it on a power play goal by Mat Robinson, made possible by Alexei Tsvetkov and Martins Karsums. Moscow took the lead in the third period on a Karsums power play goal, guided in by Tsvetkov and Karpov. This made it 3-2, the final, with the three stars being Karsums, Tsvetkov, and Robinson.
