Dallas tied it on a Blake Comeau goal in the second period, with a lone assist by Radek Faksa. The Stars won 2-1 in overtime with a John Klingberg goal, assisted by Alexander Radulov and Tyler Seguin. The three stars were Klingberg, Bishop (47 for 48 in saves), and Rinne (49 for 51 in saves). The Stars won the series 4-2 and will meet the St. Louis Blues in the second round.

MLS begins with three games on Friday in a 12-game week. First up...

San Jose drew first blood in the 6th minute on a Danny Hoesen goal, assisted by Anibal Godoy. The Earthquakes added on with a Hoesen goal in the 12th minute goal, set up by Jackson Yueill. In first half stoppage time, Cristian Espinoza and Godoy of San Jose both received yellow cards for fouls. The Earthquakes extended the lead in the 46th minute as Shea Salinas scored, thanks to Magnus Eriksson. Ilie Sanchez of Kansas City received a yellow card for a 48th minute foul. In the 54th minute, Tommy Thompson of San Jose took a yellow card for time wasting while Sporting Yohan Croizet saw yellow for a foul. The Earthquakes padded the lead on an Eriksson goal in the 61st minute. Kansas City got one back with a Felipe Gutierrez penalty kick goal in the 66th minute. This only made it 4-1, the final, with the man of the match being Eriksson.
On Sunday, DC United welcomes New York City FC. Sean Johnson and Bill Hamid are the talented keepers. 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs - Round 1 Day 11
Three games go today, beginning with...
The Nashville Predators hosting the Dallas Stars. Ben Bishop and Pekka Rinne guard the cages. Nashville opened in the first period with a Rocco Grimaldi goal, his third of the postseason, coming off of Roman Josi and Ryan Ellis. Dallas tied it on a Jason Dickinson goal, via Roope Hintz and Roman Polak. The Stars took the lead in the second period with an Alexander Radulov goal, his third of the playoffs, guided in by Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. Dallas added on with another Radulov goal, his second of the game and fourth of the postseason, assisted by Benn. The Predators got one back with a Ryan Johansen goal, courtesy of Filip Forsberg and Josi. The Stars replied with a Seguin goal, his second of the playoffs, with a lone helper by Benn, who earned a sock trick. Dallas extended the lead as Dickinson scored his second of the game, an unassisted goal. Nashville got one back with a Kyle Turris goal, made possible by Mikael Granlund. This produced the 5-3 final score for the Stars, with the three stars going to Radulov, Dickinson, and Benn, while Seguin and Josi get the honorable mentions. Winnipeg got on the board with a Dustin Byfuglien goal, his second of the playoffs, via Kevin Hayes and Andrew Copp. The Jets got closer with a shorthanded Bryan Little goal, set up by Mathieu Perreault. They came up short, as the Blues held on to win 3-2, with the three stars awarded to Schwartz, Byfuglien, and O'Reilly. The Blues won the series 4-2 to earn their spot in the second round.

The Boston Bruins welcoming the Toronto Maple Leafs. Frederik Andersen and Tuukka Rask are set to start in goal. Toronto dented the scoreboard in the third period with an Auston Matthews goal, his fourth of the postseason, made possible by Jake Muzzin and Kasperi Kapanen. The Maple Leafs added on with a Kapanen goal, via Andreas Johnsson and Morgan Rielly. Boston got on the board with a David Krejci goal, his second of the playoffs, courtesy of David Pastrnak and Torey Krug. This only made it 2-1, the final, with the three stars being Kapanen, Andersen (28 for 29 in saves), and Matthews. The Maple Leafs head home again with a chance to advance as they hold a 3-2 series lead.
Out west, the Calgary Flames bring in the Colorado Avalanche. Philipp Grubauer and Mike Smith are between the pipes. Colorado kicked off the scoring in the first period with a Gabriel Landeskog goal, coming off of Tyson Barrie and Nathan MacKinnon. The Avalanche added on with a Mikko Rantanen goal, his fourth of the postseason, helped along by Cale Makar and Colin Wilson. Calgary got on the board with a T.J. Brodie goal, his second of the playoffs, via Sam Bennett. Colorado replied in the second period with a Wilson goal, assisted by Rantanen. The Avalanche extended the lead as Wilson scored again on the power play, with the help of MacKinnon and Tyson Barrie. Colorado padded the lead in the third period with a Rantanen power play goal, his second of the game and fifth of the postseason, powered by Barrie and MacKinnon, both of whom earned sock tricks. This made it 2-1, the eventual final, with the three stars being Mrazek (30 for 31 in saves), Teravainen, and Foegele. The series heads north again tied at 2.
Northwest to Winnipeg, where the Jets welcome the St. Louis Blues. Jordan Binnington and Connor Hellebuyck are the masked men. Winnipeg opened in the first period with an Adam Lowry goal, via Brandon Tanev and Andrew Copp. The Jets added on with a Kevin Hayes goal, his second of the postseason, fueled by Dustin Byfuglien. St. Louis got on the board with a Ryan O'Reilly power play goal in the third period, his second of the playoffs, powered by David Perron and Brayden Schenn. The Blues tied it on a Schenn goal, passed from Oskar Sundqvist and Jay Bouwmeester. St. Louis won 3-2 with a Jaden Schwartz goal, with a lone helper by Tyler Bozak.
