The Toronto Maple Leafs welcoming the Boston Bruins. Tuukka Rask and Frederik Andersen man the nets. Toronto led off in the first period with a Morgan Rielly goal, assisted by William Nylander and Patrick Marleau. Boston tied it on a Brad Marchand power play goal, his third of the postseason, powered by Patrice Bergeron. The Bruins took the lead with a Torey Krug power play goal, with assists provided by David Pastrnak and Marchand. Boston added on in the second period with a Jake DeBrusk goal, via David Krejci and Pastrnak. The Maple Leafs got one back with an Auston Matthews goal, his fifth of the playoffs, made possible by Jake Gardiner and Travis Dermott in the third period. The Bruins iced it at 4-2 with a Marchand empty net goal, his second of the game and fourth of the postseason, set up by Zdeno Chara and Charlie McAvoy. The three stars were Marchand, Pastrnak, and DeBrusk.
Out in Nevada, the Vegas Golden Knights bring in the San Jose Sharks. Martin Jones and Marc-Andre Fleury are the masked men. San Jose began in the first period with a Logan Couture goal, his fourth of the postseason, courtesy of Timo Meier. Vegas tied it in the second period with a Jonathan Marchessault goal, his third of the playoffs, guided in by Shea Theodore and William Karlsson. The Sharks won it in double overtime with a Tomas Hertl shorthanded goal, his fifth of the postseason, set up by Marc-Edouard Vlasic. The three stars belonged to Jones (58 for 59 in saves), Hertl, and Couture.
