FC Cincinnati hosts Real Salt Lake. Andrew Putna and Spencer Richey are the inexperienced goalies. Albert Rusnak of Salt Lake had a yellow card for a 38th minute foul. Real began in the 42nd minute with a Rusnak goal. Salt Lake added on with a Sam Johnson goal in first half stoppage time. A minute later, Corey Baird of Real received a yellow card for his foul. Cincinnati's Kendall Waston had a yellow card for his foul in the 58th minute. Salt Lake extended the lead in the 59th minute as Rusnak scored a penalty kick goal. The final held at 3-0, with the man of the match being Rusnak.
In Canada, Toronto FC welcomes Minnesota United FC. Vito Mannone and Alex Bono are the keepers. Minnesota led off in the 17th minute with a Darwin Quintero goal, via Jan Gregus. Toronto tied it in the 28th minute on an Alejandro Pozuelo goal, courtesy of Chris Mavinga. The Reds added on in the 30th minute with a Pozuelo goal, passed from Justin Morrow. Marco Delgado of Toronto took a yellow card for a 51st minute foul. The Loons got one back in the 57th minute on an Angelo Rodriguez goal, coming off of Romain Metanire and Osvaldo Alonso. Minnesota pulled ahead with a Quintero penalty kick goal in the 70th minute. The Reds retied it on a Jordan Hamilton goal in the 77th minute, assisted by Jonathan Osorio. Toronto edged ahead with another Hamilton goal in the 79th minute, helped along by Jozy Altidore and Pozuelo. In the 89th minute, the Loons went down to ten men as Gregus took a straight red card for his foul. Minnesota's Francisco Calvo took a pair of yellow cards in the 90th minute and stoppage time, putting his side down to nine men. Quintero of the Loons received a yellow card for dissent a couple of minutes later. Toronto won 4-3, with Pozuelo as the man of the match.
Friday ends with the Los Angeles Galaxy bringing in the Houston Dynamo. Joe Willis and David Bingham are set to start in goal. Houston's A.J. DeLaGarza took a yellow card for his 29th minute foul. Los Angeles opened in the 31st minute on a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty kick goal. Matias Vera of the Dynamo took a yellow card for a foul in the 47th minute. Houston tied it in the 53rd minute on an Alberth Elis penalty kick goal. In the 85th minute, the Dynamo's Elis received a yellow card for his foul. The Galaxy won 2-1 with an 88th minute Diego Polenta goal, via Jonathan dos Santos. The man of the match was Polenta.
Saturday starts with the Chicago Fire hosting the Colorado Rapids. Tim Howard and David Ousted are the goalies. Diego Rubio of Colorado had a yellow card for a 31st minute foul. Chicago started in the 34th minute on a Nemanja Nikolic goal, assisted by Nicolas Gaitan. The Rapids tied it on a 40th minute goal by Kei Kamara. The Fire retook the lead with a C.J. Sapong goal in the 53rd minute, set up by Aleksandar Katai and Dax McCarty. Chicago added on with a Djordje Mihailovic goal in the 61st minute, coming off of Gaitan and Sapong. The Fire extended the lead as Katai scored in the 80th minute. Mohammed Adams of Chicago received a yellow card for his 84th minute foul. Colorado went down to ten men in the 86th minute when Jack Price received a straight red card for his foul. The game ended 4-1, with Katai as the man of the match.
East to Philadelphia, as the Union welcome the Montreal Impact. Evan Bush and Andre Blake man the nets. Philadelphia struck first in the 14th minute with a Cory Burke goal. The Union added on in the 45th minute with a Jamiro Monteiro penalty kick goal. In the 54th minute, Matt Freese replaced an injured Blake in the Philadelphia net. The Union extended the lead in the 57th minute as Alejandro Bedoya scored, with the help of Kai Wagner and Haris Medunjanin. Philadelphia saw yellow cards for fouls by Medunjanin in the 62nd minute and Burke in the 67th minute. Bush of Montreal took a yellow card for a 78th minute foul. In the 90th minute, Wagner of the Union received a red card upon review. The game ended 3-0, with Burke as the man of the match.
Down in Florida, Orlando City SC brings in the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Zac MacMath and Brian Rowe draw the starts in goal. Orlando City's Nani took a yellow card for a 62nd minute foul. In the 88th minute, the Lions dented the scoreboard on a Nani goal, set up by Sacha Kljestan and Ruan. Vancouver saw yellow cards for fouls by Derek Cornelius and Lass in the 90th minute and stoppage time, respectively. The final held at 1-0, with Nani picked as man of the match.
Backtracking to Georgia, where Atlanta United FC hosts FC Dallas. Jose Luis Gonzalez and Brad Guzan patrol the penalty areas. Dallas was first to score in the 6th minute with a Jesus Ferreira goal, set up by Michael Barrios. Atlanta's Leandro Gonzalez Pirez received a yellow card for a 40th minute foul. In the 59th minute, Matt Hedges of the Toros picked up a yellow card for a foul. Jeff Larentowicz of the Five Stripes took a yellow card for his 61st minute foul. Dallas had yellow cards for Barrios' 63rd minute foul and Gonzalez's time wasting in the 74th minute. The Toros added on in the 84th minute with a Bryan Acosta goal, assisted by Barrios and Edwin Cerrillo. In stoppage time, Dallas's Jacori Hayes and Acosta both got booked for dissent. Atlanta avoided a shutout with a Josef Martinez penalty kick goal in stoppage time, which produced the 2-1 final score. Barrios was the man of the match.
Northward to Ohio, as the Columbus Crew SC welcomes the Portland Timbers. Jeff Attinella and Zack Steffen are between the sticks. Portland's Zarek Valentin had a yellow card for a 25th minute foul. Portland drew first blood in the 31st minute with a Larrys Mabiala goal, assisted by Diego Valeri. Portland added on in the 35th minute with a Jeremy Ebobisse goal, set up by Sebastian Blanco and Valeri. Columbus got on the board with a Pedro Santos goal in the 69th minute. The Timbers saw yellow cards for Tomas Conechny in the 78th minute and Blanco's dissent in the 89th minute. Portland iced it at 3-1 in stoppage time with a Jorge Moreira goal, via Cristhian Paredes and Blanco. The man of the match was Blanco.
Over in New England, the Revolution bring in the New York Red Bulls. Luis Robles and Cody Cropper make the starts in goal. New York's Bradley Wright-Phillips had a yellow card for a 51st minute foul. New England saw a yellow card for a 52nd minute foul by Juan Agudelo. The Revolution got going in the 73rd minute with a Cristian Penilla goal, made possible by Juan Fernando Caicedo and Carles Gil. This stood for a 1-0 win, with Cropper (five save shutout) earning man of the match honors.
Saturday finishes in San Jose, as the Earthquakes host Sporting Kansas City. Tim Melia and Daniel Vega are the gloved men. San Jose drew first blood in the 6th minute on a Danny Hoesen goal, assisted by Anibal Godoy. The Earthquakes added on with a Hoesen goal in the 12th minute goal, set up by Jackson Yueill. In first half stoppage time, Cristian Espinoza and Godoy of San Jose both received yellow cards for fouls. The Earthquakes extended the lead in the 46th minute as Shea Salinas scored, thanks to Magnus Eriksson. Ilie Sanchez of Kansas City received a yellow card for a 48th minute foul. In the 54th minute, Tommy Thompson of San Jose took a yellow card for time wasting while Sporting Yohan Croizet saw yellow for a foul. The Earthquakes padded the lead on an Eriksson goal in the 61st minute. Kansas City got one back with a Felipe Gutierrez penalty kick goal in the 66th minute. This only made it 4-1, the final, with the man of the match being Eriksson.
On Sunday, DC United welcomes New York City FC. Sean Johnson and Bill Hamid are the talented keepers. New York City cracked the scoresheet in the 35th minute with an Alexandru Mitrita goal, set up by Heber and Maximiliano Moralez. DC saw yellow cards for a foul by Chris Durkin in the 44th minute and dissent from Leonardo Jara in first half stoppage time. The Pigeons' Jonathan Lewis had a yellow card for time wasting in the 48th minute, and teammate Ebenezer Ofori was booked for a 52nd minute foul. New York City added on in the 56th minute with a Heber goal, via Ronald Matarrita. The Pigeons' Moralez and Jesus Medina picked up yellow cards for a foul in the 77th minute and time wasting in the 90th minute, respectively. The Black and Red's Paul Arriola received a yellow card in second half stoppage time for a foul, as did New York City's Johnson. The final held at 2-0, with the man of the match being Heber.
Finally, Los Angeles FC brings in the Seattle Sounders FC. Stefan Frei faces former understudy Tyler Miller in goal. Los Angeles commenced the scoring in the 12th minute with a Carlos Vela goal, via Mark-Anthony Kaye. Seattle's Roman Torres took a yellow card for a 22nd minute foul. The Black and Gold's Eduard Atuesta picked up a yellow card for time wasting in the 35th minute. Los Angeles added on in the 39th minute with an Atuesta goal, set up by Kaye. Kim Kee-hee of the Sounders received a yellow card for his 44th minute foul. Seattle got on the board in the 51st minute with a Harry Shipp goal, passed from Victor Rodriguez. The Black and Gold replied with a Vela goal in the 55th minute, coming off of Atuesta and Latif Blessing. Kelvin Leerdam of the Sounders received a yellow card for his 58th minute foul. Los Angeles extended the lead as Christian Ramirez scored in the 61st minute, with the help of Kaye. Seattle's Jordy Delem was booked in the 67th minute for a foul. The final remained at 4-1, with Kaye picked as man of the match.
