2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs - Round 2 Day 3

We're back for some Game 2s on Saturday, beginning with...

The St. Louis Blues welcoming the Dallas Stars. Ben Bishop and Jordan Binnington man the nets. Dallas led off in the first period with a Roope Hintz goal, his third of the postseason, coming off of Mats Zuccarello and Jason Dickinson. The Stars added on with a Miro Heiskanen goal, his second of the playoffs, fueled by Hintz and Zuccarello. St. Louis got on the board with a Colton Parayko goal, via Ryan O'Reilly and David Perron. Dallas replied with a Mattias Janmark goal, helped along by Dickinson. The Blues got one back in the third period with a Jaden Schwartz goal, his fifth of the postseason, with a lone helper by Parayko. The Stars iced it at 4-2 with a Hintz empty net goal, his second of the game and fourth of the playoffs, set up by Jamie Benn. The three stars were Hintz, Zuccarello, and Dickinson, while Parayko took an honorable mention. The series heads south tied at 1.

Northeast to Boston, as the Bruins bring in the Columbus Blue Jackets. Sergei Bobrovsky and Tuukka Rask are the goalies. Boston began in the first period with a Matt Grzelcyk power play goal, powered by Charlie McAvoy and David Krejci. Columbus tied it on an Artemi Panarin power play goal, his third of the postseason, with assists provided by Seth Jones and Cam Atkinson in the second period. The Bruins took the lead back with a David Pastrnak goal, his third of the playoffs, via Charlie Coyle and Marcus Johansson. The Blue Jackets retied it on a Panarin goal, his second of the game and fourth of the postseason, with a lone helper by Jones. Columbus won 3-2 in double overtime with a Matt Duchene power play goal, his fourth of the playoffs, with helpers from Panarin and Cam Atkinson. The three stars were Panarin, Jones, and Duchene. Columbus tied the series before heading home.
